So I’m picking up a new hobby: snowboarding. My roommate got me hooked on it last year when I went with her and a bunch of her friends and I absolutely love it! I was so active in high school playing Varsity softball and field hockey so not being active during the school year in college makes me kind of feel bad about myself. Snowboarding is actually really intense. I fell so much last year when I went for my first ride. I used muscles in my legs that I never thought I had! I was so sore the next couple days that I had a hard time sitting down in class and getting up out of my chair. HAHA. Also getting into my lofted bed last year in the dorms was a pain in my butt. So anyways, today my roommate and our friends went to the Capital Rail Jam today down at the LC. We just watched people free ride and tonight’s the actual competition but we decided we didn’t want to stay that long and we wanted to go buy things for snowboarding season. I have nothing for snowboarding so I have to get EVERYTHING. Today after the Rail Jam, my roommate and I went to Aspen Ski and Board on Polaris and I got my pants, goggles, and hat. I’m so pumped because the pants are my favorite color, which is Tiffany blue. And my goggles are hot pink and my hat’s black with hot pink and the Tiffany blue speckles in it. I’m so pumped!

I love to ski, but I have never tried snowboarding. There is a place close to me, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, where you can ski and go tubing on manmade snow. Is there someplace like this around here? It is cool you are getting the real equipment you need, it is always harder when you are making do with the wrong clothes. I hate how expensive it is to go, but it is a blast!
ReplyDeleteSnowboarding sounds really fun but I normally ski and I'm not too good at that so I don't think I would make a great snowboarder.
ReplyDeleteYeah snowboarding is fun! I went once last year and I absolutely loved it so I think I'm going to pick it up as a new hobby.
